My paintings depict the unusual artifacts that dot the American landscape. They are lonely scenes of roadside attractions; small buildings overshadowed with carnival-like signs -- seedy yet beautiful. I am intrigued with this 20th Century folk art of elephants, seals, and neon. They show remnants of a time when car culture was a little wacky instead of an ugly necessity.
